This  small book, ”Chhatrapati Shahu and His Reservation Policy” is to give an account as to haw and under what circumstances Chhatrapati Shahu, the ninth Chhatrapati of the Kolhapur Maratha State had introduced the hitherto unknown policy known as the Reservation Policy in his district size tiny State.  An attempt has been also made to show as to how the kolhapur Maratha State came into existence out of the Maratha Power established by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and as to how Shahu had become Chhatrapati of Kolhapura. These matters are the Parts of the Maratha History and are supported by authentic sources.
