Mr. Amol D. Thorat is an accomplished educator, academic administrator, and Information Technology professional with over 15 years of experience in teaching, academic leadership, and CBSE school administration. His passion for Computer Science, combined with his commitment to quality education, has inspired him to author this book to help students build a strong conceptual foundation in Informatics Practices.

He completed his Higher Secondary Education (Science) from Mahatma Gandhi College, Manchar in 2006. Driven by his keen interest in Information Technology, he pursued a Diploma in Information Technology Engineering, which he completed in 2008 with First Rank (Gold Medal) in his batch, demonstrating outstanding academic excellence.

Following his diploma, he secured direct admission to the Second Year of the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology at the prestigious College of Engineering Pune (COEP), one of India’s premier engineering institutions. He successfully completed his B.Tech. (Information Technology) in 2011, gaining a strong foundation in software development, computer systems, and information technology.

To further enhance his academic and technical expertise, he pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, where he specialized in advanced computing technologies and software engineering. Mr. Thorat is presently serving as the Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Information Technology at Shivneri School and Junior College, Khanapur, a CBSE-affiliated institution. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, academic administration, examination management, and the implementation of CBSE academic policies.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has successfully served in several important CBSE examination roles, including Chief Nodal Supervisor, contributing to the smooth conduct of CBSE Evaluation Processes, Board Examination Management and other academic responsibilities. His professional expertise also includes academic quality assurance, teacher training, examination coordination and educational leadership.

As an educator, Mr. Thorat strongly believes that technology education should be practical, concept-oriented and accessible to every learner. His teaching philosophy focuses on simplifying complex concepts through real-life examples, hands-on activities, and examination-oriented learning. This book is the result of his classroom experience, continuous interaction with students, and dedication to producing high-quality learning resources aligned with the latest CBSE curriculum. Through this publication, he hopes to inspire students to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in the ever-evolving field of Computer Science and Information Technology.
