Forensic Science today occupies a central position in the administration of criminal justice. Once considered an auxiliary tool of investigation, it has now become a decisive element in determining guilt or innocence. The transformation of criminal adjudication from confession-driven methods to evidence-based processes reflects a deeeper constitutional evolution, one that place fairness, transparency, and objectivity at its core.

This book was conceived with the objective of bridging scientific understanding and legal reasoning. It seeks to present forensic science not merely as a technical discipline, but as a constitutional instrument that strengthens the rule of law. Each chapter has been designed to align scientific principles with statutory provisions, judicial interpretations, and human rights considerations, particularly in light of the Bhartatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023

The aim of this work is threefold :

2. To assist legal professionals in appreciating the scientifiv foundations underlying evidentiary evaluation.
3. To encourage responsible and ethical integration of emerging technologies into justice systems.
